The SINGER 4423 Heavy Duty Model Sewing Machine has a powerful motor and the manufacturer claims that it could sew through just about anything. Not everybody agrees with that statement however. We found well over 200 reviews online for the Singer 4423 and found that there are plenty of people who experienced all sorts of problems with this machine. From our research we think that purchasing this machine is too much of a gamble and would advise you to keep looking for a better machine.

The Janome Magnolia sewing machine has 18 decorative and utility stitches and it features stitch length control and a zigzag width control. There is also a reverse stitch button and a convenient thread cutter. The Magnolia has an extension table that gives you more surface area to work with and you can also remove the extension if you need more room.
